This is a recipe from Forks over Knives that is getting a lot of action in our office right now.

2 cups water

1 cup bulgar wheat

1 cup onion, chopped

1/2 cup green pepper, chopped

1/2 cup celery, chopped

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 3/4 cup barbecue sauce

1 T soy sauce

salt

3 whole grain pita

 

Bring water to boiling in small saucepan.  Stir in bulgar and bring back to boiling.  Remove from heat, cover, and let stand 15 minutes.  Drain any remaining liquid.  Meanwhile, sauté onion, green pepper, and celery in 2-3 T water over medium heat for 6-7 minutes. Add water as needed to keep from sticking.  Add garlic and sauté one additional minute.  Stir in bulgar, barbecue sauce, and soy sauce.  Reduce heat to low and simmer 10 minutes until thickened slightly.  Season with salt.  Serve in pita halves.
