About Our Team

Susan

Medical Assistant CMA

Susan has a wealth of experience in patient centered medical care. Her past experience working with Dr. Ainsworth has given her invaluable perspective.

She enjoys her patients and helping them improve their health.

Susan probably spends her free time parasailing and skydiving.

Natalie

Medical Assistant

Natalie is a Sloop veteran, who along with her mother have worked with the Sloops for over a decade. Natalie is a patient-forward nurse, with an eye for your well-being.

On Natalie’s days off, we suspect she’s an international super-spy, or a Michelin star worthy cook, it’s hard to say these days.

Elena

Medical Assistant

Elena is Dr Christine’s medical assistant. She is one of our most efficient workers, making her a doctor and patient favorite. Nevertheless, efficiency can only go so far to keep the Drs Sloop on time.

Elena says her superpowers are coffee and cookies. She does like going to the gym. We suspect her superpowers might include weekend trips up Mount Everest !

Kayla

Administrative Assistant

Kayla owns the cutest dog in the world. She’s also an outstanding friendly face ready to help you on your medical journey at your next visit.

When away from work, Kayla might be a show dog tamer, base-jumper, and maybe even runs a demolition derby.

Julie

Administrative Assistant

Julie is an customer service expert, previously at Northstate Radiology, Canyon View Clinic at Feather River, and Enloe. When Doctors Sloop first moved to California, Julie worked with them, and now ten years later they’re grateful to have her back.

Julie loves cycling and is (allegedly) a BMX pro in her time off.

Lisa

Administrative Assistant

Lisa is one of the lovely friendly faces you’ll meet when you visit. She’s working with Dr Randy to help you through your visit. She previously has worked with Dr Badour and Dr Lee’s office.

Lisa is one of the kindest people you’ll meet, don’t be afraid to ask questions!

Lisa is known to spend her time off lion taming and cat corralling.

Lori

Administrative Assistant

Lori is our part time front office wonder woman.

She has over 20 years of customer service und patient care experience. She loves providing a friendly and positive environment. She makes us all smile and laugh; when she is not busy being a dance mom.

Lori loves long distance running, traveling with her family, and helicopters.

Wendy

Medical Assistant

Meet Wendy, one of our brave medical assistants. She’s an Olympic coffee drinker, gym superhero, an avid hiker. She’s probably secretly climbed Denali, but we can’t confirm.

She loves her sisters, and might be going to Tahoe with them after you read this, so don’t keep her late. Someone once started a rumor that she drives a corvette to work, but again, we can neither confirm nor deny. And on the weekend she’s allegedly running your favorite pizzeria (she does have a history in professional pizza making, so watch out y’all)!

But what we do know is that she’s a phenomenal member of the team.

Danielle

Administrative Assistant

Danielle is our new gentle face at the front. She loves working with the Sloop team, and we are so thankful to have her join us!

We have heard rumors of aggressive soccer playing in time off. We suspect she plays for the Lionesses.

Pepper Sloop

Chief Morale Officer & Wilderness Consultant

Pepper Sloop joins the team as our newest four-legged staff member, and she’s already making her presence known. A proud Basset Heeler — that’s the intelligence of a Blue Heeler packed into the short, ground-level legs of a Basset Hound — Pepper brings a very specific energy to the office: intensely switched-on, then completely horizontal.

She takes her hiking duties very seriously, double dipping morning hikes with Randy and then walks with Christine. She’s a talented huntress, especially when we wish she wasn’t. The local bird population has mixed feelings about her “wellness” contributions to the local ecosystem.

When she’s not on patrol, Pepper can be found bringing her signature big-hearted, floppy-eared energy to patients and staff alike — a welcome reminder that sometimes the best medicine has four legs and questionable prey drive.
Pepper’s secret superpower is looking majestic on a hilltop while plotting her next move.

Christina

Administrative Assistant

Meet Christina, our Administrative Assistant and one of the first friendly faces you’ll encounter at our office. Christina brings warmth and helpfulness to everything she does, making sure patients and staff alike feel welcomed and taken care of. We’re so glad to have her as part of the Sloop team!
